26 Festive Ways to Decorate Your Mantel This Fall
When the leaves start changing colour and they start falling to the ground, you know that it is autumn. Here are 26 Festive Ways to Decorate Your Mantel This Fall! Even if you are going to miss summer, the seasons don't care and as some parts of the Earth get less and less sun, we start to see more of this chilly weather. It is what people tend to do, either embrace the season, or resist the thought of summer being gone. Many people can't wait for this time of year, with the leaves falling to the ground, crunching them beneath your feet is just so fun and the colours are so amazing as well. I just personally find it such a beautiful time of year!
There are also other fun things about autumn time, like making different recipes, like those with a lot of pumpkin in them, since pumpkin harvest is happening around that time of year too. People use these beautiful orange globes to decorate their homes, and even make jack o lanterns out of them, but they are also amazing for their fleshy pulp and meat at the centre, and even their seeds! So once you are finished using them as decoration, you can use them for food too! There are so many pumpkin desserts, and drinks, like lates that you can get at the coffee shops around this time of year.
The decorations can get pretty fun! It's always nice to change up you mantel's decor from season to season, and make it look like it is ready for any occasion. The colours of fall tend to be the harvest colours and the colours we see in nature around this magical time of year. All of the awesome reds, yellows and oranges. These mantels look absolutely awesome! They wouldn't be too difficult to put together either. And best of all you don't have to break the bank, just use things you find in nature or around your home! I love the spooky looking halloween ones, especially the one with the creepy old photo, and the banner made out of fake spider webs.
The mantle with the witch coming down the fire place has to be one of the best ones! This would really be a great conversation starter and the kids would totally get a kick out of it. The ones with the different things in frames, then the frames hung crooked and very randomly, are awesome, as it really gives the house a super haunted and creepy vibe. Chestnut garlands are always fun to make too, and gourds are always something that are easy to get and they look great on any mantle. Of course, anything orange is going to be a big winner in fall time. You can always have some fun making some halloween crafts with your kids and letting them decorate the mantle too, they would have a blast! It is a fun time of year, so the whole family should get involved in the fun of it all. Don't forget to save your pumpkin seeds and roast them up to eat or save them and plant some in the spring!
