To make this chicken recipe, you will need a baking pan, something around 11 inches by 7 inches will work, depending how many chicken breasts you are planning on making. Then trim the chicken and lay it in the baking dish. Spread some of the ranch dressing onto each of the chicken breasts and then top them with some bacon strips. You can use one strip of bacon cut in half for each piece of chicken, you can also use more bacon or less, whatever you prefer. Then put the chicken into a preheated 400 degree Fahrenheit oven, and cook for approximately 25 to 35 minutes, until the chicken is cooked throughly and you see no pink. Remove the chicken from the oven and sprinkle on the shredded cheese over the top, and then put it back in the oven for three to five minutes, or until the cheese is melted. This chicken recipe is one the whole family will love.

Chicken is high in protein which can aid in the fight against bone loss. It is high in the mineral phosphorus that is beneficial to teeth and bones as well as the kidney, liver and central nervous system. It can also increase serotonin because of the tryptophan. Tryptophan is an amino acid also found on turkey which boosts the mood. One amino acid you do not want high levels of is homocysteine as it can cause cardiovascular disease. Good thing eating chicken controls the levels of homocysteine in your body! And if that's not enough, well it also contains the mineral selenium and vitamin B6 which aid the metabolism.

This is a protein packed dish as bacon is also a plentiful source of protein. You are sure to feel satisfied for hours after eating this chicken recipe. And cooking the bacon in the oven ensures you're not getting any of those very unhealthy nitrates or nitrites as they come from charring and burning the bacon. If you've heard of omega 3 fatty acids, well those are present in bacon as well as high levels of many other vitamins and minerals such as thiamin, niacin, vitamin B12 and zinc. Who says bacon is unhealthy? The protein to fat ratio is 4 to 1, which is one of the highest of any meat.
