The beauty about cooking, is that recipes can be modified, and changed up to suit what ingredients you have on hand and to suit the taste or dietary needs of person that is making the recipe. This "5 Cheese Cajun Lasagna," recipe is a creative take on a recipe we usually think of as Italian. Lasagna was one of the first types of pasta ever to be made. The thick and broad noodles were the start of pasta in our world. Lasagna that we know today, refers to the stacking or layering of noodles and cheese and meat, usually with some vegetables in the mix. There are many different types of lasagne now, even some dessert lasagnas that are layers of cream cheese or whipped cream, and chocolate, with a pastry dough or even cookies. Lasagnes are a great way to use a variety of ingredients in one dish, much like a casserole. All of the flavours meld so perfectly together and come together to create a meal that everyone can enjoy! This is a great cajun spin on the Italian classic favourite dish that you and your family will love to try out for fun!

This 5 cheese Cajun lasagna is made with the creators favorite argue sauce which includes ground turkey and andouille sausage. While the sauce is simmering a cheesy mixture of ricotta cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, jack cheese, mozzarella cheese, and parmigiano cheeses is prepared (you can also use your favorite cheeses to add to the recipe). It's the mixture of cheeses in this recipe that gives the lasagna its rich depth of flavor. You'll want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees farenheit, and get your 13 by 9 baking dish out. Once the recipe is prepared you can cover the lasagna recipe with greased foil and bake for about 30 minutes, then uncovered for another 20 minutes or more until done and the cheese is nicely bubbling and golden brown. The creator likes to serve this delicious recipe with her Jalapeo garlic cheese bread recipe and a salad on the side.
