This ingredient was once meant to make people think they were choosing a food that would lead to healthy living by reducing caloric intake, but instead, this chemical has been linked to vitamin depletion which is not good for your overall health and wellbeing. Olestra is banned in the UK and in Canada. Brominated vegetable oil which is found in sport's drinks makes the food dyes stick to liquids, but it's also used as a fire retardant. It's been linked to many illnesses including birth defects and organ failure. It's banned in over 100 countries but you'll want to keep a look out for it if you live in the US and want to support your health and wellbeing.

Some of the most toxic ingredients in foods are very hard to pronounciate which is another clue that they are chemical. Much like Azodicarbonamide which is basically a bleach used in bread and boxed pasta. It's also used to bleach other products like yoga mats, so it's probably not something you want to be consuming if you want to be healthy.
