Baked Apple Pie Roll Ups! Oh gosh, my mouth is watering.

This is a quick, easy and flexible recipe which allows you to prepare ahead, or serve right away. I often serve this with a nice piece of ice cream, and pour chocolate sauce all over it, but that might be too much sweet for some of you to handle. I myself, have a major sweet tooth and can't be satisfied without a good healthy dose of oral delight.

This is a wonderful dessert that your whole family is going to go nuts for. The baked apple pie roll-up is something that you will probably find yourself making again and again. It looks harder to make then it actually is. The last time that I made this recipe, my husband ended up giving me a little surprise in the middle of the night while I was sleeping... he managed to sneak into the kitchen without being detected (and my hearing is usually fantastic) ... the next morning I was shocked to find literally half of the previous days baking entirely missing.

He had nothing but a guilty smile to answer me with either when I confronted him. He tried to blame it on the dog, but that rarely works, since we don't have a dog. Maybe next time he will get me the puppy that I've always wanted. Oh well, I guess he better start taking the stairs because his round little belly is looking extremely happy these days.

Apples are a fruit that are often eaten raw. The whole fruit including the skin is suitable for human consumption except for the seeds, which may affect some people. The core is often not eaten and is discarded. Apple varieties bred for raw consumption are termed dessert or table apples. Apples can be canned or juiced. They are milled or pressed to produce apple juice, which may be drunk unfiltered and called apple cider in North America called apple cider. The juice can be fermented to make cider (called hard cider in North America), or apple cider vinegar. Apples are a popular ingredient in many dessert recipes such as apple pie, apple crisp, apple crumble and apple cake. Apples can be eaten stewed or baked, and apples can also be dried and eaten or reconstituted for later use. When apples are cooked, some apple varieties can easily form a puree known as apple sauce. Apples can also be made into apple jelly and apple butter. Apples can also be used in meat dishes.

An apple pie is a fruit pie in which the main filling ingredient is apple. On occasion, it is served with whipped cream or ice cream topping, or with cheddar cheese. The pastry is generally used on both the top and the bottom, making it a double crust pie, the upper crust of which may be a circular shaped crust or a pastry with lattice woven of strips, some exceptions are deep dish apple pie with a top crust only, and open face Tarte Tatin. Apple pie is an American classic recipe.
