Baked French Toast

Breakfast is an important meal of the day, it's the morning recipe that is going to give you the energy that starts you off right. This "Baked French Toast," recipe is warm, sweet and delicious just the thing to get you going.

This baked French toast recipe is great, as you can start it the night before and just pop it in the oven in the morning. Some of the ingredients you will need for this recipe include sourdough bread, eggs, heavy cream and sugar. For the topping some of the ingredients you'll want to have on hand include all purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter cup into pieces. To start you will need to grease a 9 by 13 inch pan with butter, then tear the bread into bite sized chunks and place evenly in the pan. You will then mix together your ingredients and pour evenly over the bread, cover tightly and store in the fridge for several hours (overnight if you'd like). You can then mix together your topping ingredients in a medium sized bowl, cutting in the butter with a pastry blender until it looks crumbly, and place in a ziplock bag and put in the fridge. When you are ready to bake, take the pan and ziplock bag out of the fridge. Remove the wrap off the pan and sprinkle the crumb mixture over the top.
