Beef and Bean Chimichanga

Find Your Perfect ONLINE JOB

If this is the first time you've ever heard of the word Chimichanga, then you're not alone. Before reading this article I had no idea what to expect from a Beef and Bean Chimichanga, but not I'm glad I do. These easy dinners are super versatile and will probably become a household favorite. The Chimichanga literally translates to "little trinket" in Spanish, and while it is more or less of a trinket, most Mexicans just think of it as a deep fried burrito. And come on, how amazing does a deep fried burrito sound? Mexican food has to be one of my favourite types of cuisine, and I think a lot of other people can agree! It is such a nice comforting and nourishing cuisine, with so much flavour from natural ingredients. The other great thing is that these chimichangas don't take a lot of time to make, and the ingredients are fairly healthy and usually most people have them all or can at least find them easily enough at their grocery store.

The guy who wrote this recipe goes on to say how this beef and bean version of the Chimichanga is his personal favorite, but you don't have to limit yourself to those ingredients. In fact, you cant substitute them with whatever you like. Add in some veggies like corn, red peppers, cauliflower, rice, or whatever you want. There are a lot of options when it comes to this dish. It's actually incredibly simple to make once you have the base recipe down. It's great to have those simple recipes to fall back on, since sometimes we just don't have that much time to make something over the top. Chimichangas are a type of burrito that has been deep-fried in oil. There is still an argument over where they are thought to come from, one restaurant owner claims that she came up with the idea when she accidentally dropped a burrito in her deep fryer and she said a swear word in spanish - changa . Then she tried it to see how it would taste, and she was surprised at how good it was, so she started to make them for other people. No surprise they all loved them too!

If you read through the comments on the article, you'll notice that it's a hit with every single person who has tried it, so you won't be disappointed. It might not be the most healthy recipe, it's certainly more of an occasional delicious comfort food. Although, I don't blame you if you start to make it a bit more often. You might even have all the ingredients to whip some up tonight for dinner. Since the ingredients are usually things that we might have around, otherwise, they are really easy to find and purchase at the grocery store and they also don't cost too much either.
