We love movie quotes. We throw them into our everyday conversations. Like the childhood game of telephone, these quotes have become twisted and changed. Let's take a look at three famous Star Wars quotes that were never said.

"May the Force be with you." Like most people I thought that famous quote was first uttered by Obi Wan Kenobi. Do you know he is not the first character to say it? Though many forms of this quote are said in the Star Wars movies, it often attributed to the wrong character! Okay, so in all fairness, Obi does finally say it, many years after it was first said in "A New Hope". So while the quote itself is not misquoted, who it is attributed to, is. So who actually said it?

Han Solo and Leia's relationship was always a little tumultuous. Their bickering and sparring provide us with another common misquote. "I'd rather kiss a Wookiee!" The misquote of this famous saying is pretty close to the original, but it is not the original quote. Leia actually says, "I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee!" Han Solo's reply of "I can arrange that. You could use a good kiss!" is also often misquoted. Do you know what the misquote is?

Mostly likely one of the most misquoted move quotes of all time is...... "Luke, I am your father." Can you believe that Darth Vader never actually says that?! In this very ionic moment in the film, what does Darth Vader actually say?! Darth Vader's actual words, though revealing, don't pack quite the same punch as the misquote, which is probably why fans altered it. To find out what Darth Vader actually says, who the first character to say "May the Force be with you." is, as well as Han's famous misquote, check out 'About.com' or visit the link below.
