Do you think these "Bizarre Mars Photos Signs of Life or Signs The Internet Has Lost Its Mind?" Stories of UFO's have fascinated us for years, but with so many grainy photos and bizarre tales out there, its difficult to determine whats really going on.

For most of us her on earth, the photos of Mars taken by the Curiosity rover reveal little more than a desolate red landscape inhabited mostly by rocks. Lots and lots of rocks. But to the more imaginative souls around us, these are no ordinary rocks. They are real signs of alien life on the planet next door to us. For years, conspiracy theorists have been looking through the photos sent back to Earth by NASA probes and discovering all sorts of mysterious objects that they say proves the existence of extraterrestrial activity on Mars, an alien world where lizards, mermaids, traffic lights, jelly donuts and a statue of Barack Obama all apparently coexist in the dusty expanses of the red planet. In reality, they're probably all just weirdly shaped rocks, but it's still kind of fun to imagine that there may be life on this planet next to us. The latest arrival, is the sighting this week of a spaceship, or at least a rock shaped like a spaceship, that UFO seekers believe could have crashed on Mars. These UFO seekers believe the craft to be only ten feet across, so it probably only held a few passengers. Since many of the figures we found on Mars are about two to three inches tall, then we can conclude that this ship could carry about 20-40 passengers.

A UFO, otherwise known as an unidentified flying object, is any apparent anomaly in the sky that is not identifiable as a known object or phenomenon. Culturally, UFOs are associated with claims of visitation by extraterrestrial life or government related conspiracy theories, and have become popular subjects in fiction. While UFOs are often later identified, sometimes identification may not be possible owing to the usually low quality of evidence usually photos or low grade video, related to UFO sightings (generally anecdotal evidence and eyewitness accounts). Studies have established that most of the UFO observations are just misidentified conventional objects or natural phenomena, most commonly aircraft, balloons, noctilucent clouds, nacreous clouds, or astronomical objects such as meteors or bright planets with a small percentage even being hoaxes Between 5% and 20% of reported sightings are not explained, and therefore can be classified as unidentified. While proponents of the extraterrestrial hypothesis suggest that these unexplained reports are of alien spacecraft, the hypothesis cannot be excluded that these reports are simply other more prosaic phenomena that cannot be identified due to lack of complete information or due to the necessary subjectivity of the reports.
