Cake Batter Blondies

Another yummy dessert recipe! And look at the way it looks. Makes me want indulge and eat more pieces than I really need. Blondies are an easy to make cake and when cut into squares look like mini cakes with sprinkles on top. Sprinkles are used in a lot of baking, as well as toppings on ice cream cones. The visual appearance of these bright little pieces of candy turn flat and dull into bright and exciting. I've been hearing so much about sprinkles,those colorful little cake candies and what they are all about. Have you ever wondered about it? Maybe just a little bit? The more I look at the picture, the more curious I become about the sprinkles on top.

According to my source, "Wikipedia" which is the on-line encyclopedia of information, sprinkles are “very small pieces of confectionery used as a decoration or to add texture to desserts- typically cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts, ice cream, frozen yogurt, some puddings, and in the Netherlands and Australia, sandwiches or bread”. In other words, sprinkles are used as toppings. Chocolate sprinkles on toast are a common item in many European countries.What about its name? Sprinkles are sometimes referred to as “jimmies”, although the source of this is unknown. However, according to Just Brown Candy Company, a candy manufacturer in Pennsylvania, the name “jimmies” is named after one of their employees, but this has not yet proven to be true.

Wherever the name “jimmies” come from, we are thankful that sprinkles exist in the world. Yes, we are. Even the simplest-looking pastry, just add sprinkles. Mind you, you'll never be able to take your eyes off from it!
