With the Star Wars announcement coming from Carrie Fisher's brother Todd Fisher made to media sources at a New York Daily News opening night gala at the TCM Film Festival in Los Angeles. It seems that Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, and her uncle Todd have granted Disney execs permission to use Carrie Fisher's image for the last film. Both Todd Fisher and his niece Billy Lourd agreed that the iconic actress is as much a part of the film as anything and that her presence now is even more powerful than it was. Her Star Wars part might be pared down or created in a different way to help minimize her screen time for Star Wars Episode IX. Anyone who's seen the CGI version of Peter Cushing as Grand Moff Tarkin in Rogue One knows just how capable the studio is. They can bring back deceased actors almost flawlessly. Tragically, Carrie Fisher's mother, Debbie Reynolds, also passed away just a day after Carrie Fisher's death on December 27, 2016.
