Summertime is an exciting time for cooking and baking, and making food in general, with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables to use in all sorts of recipes and creations. This "Chocolate Zucchini Bread First Zucchini of the Season," is the perfect bread recipe to use up some of your summer zucchini! Isn't having a vegetable and fruit garden awesome? You can grow so many things from the soil in your own back yard! Gardening is such an awesome thing to get into, it is a lot of work, but it is rewarding work. You get to play in the dirt, and get dirty, plus you get fruits and vegetables all throughout the season. What could be better? I have been gardening on my own for the past several years. I started gardening with my grandparents and my mom when I was little though, and learned so much from them all. But the thing I have found out about gardening, is that there is always more to learn, which makes it even more fun and interesting. Every year you learn a little something new that you maybe never knew about before and you learn to solve problems too.

This chocolate zucchini bread first zucchini of the season was inspired by the creator picking her first zucchini of the season last week, followed by two more popping up shortly after. Zucchini is perfect for all sorts of recipes such as zucchini pickles, squash relish, zucchini bread muffins, grilled veggies and of course zucchini bread, or chocolate zucchini bread. To start you'll want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, then beat together your eggs, sugar and oil (the oil can be substituted for an oil applesauce combination for a healthier version). Next you will fold in your grated zucchini. Then add your dry ingredients. Once the chocolate zucchini recipe mix is ready you will pour it into two greased loaf pans or 4 mini loaf pans. At this point you can bake the recipe for one hour or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean. It is important to let the recipe cool on a rack for 10 minutes before removing from pans, then cool completely, yum.
