Oooey gooey cinnamon rolls have to be one of the top favourite desserts out there. Try out this amazing recipe for Cinnamon Roll Waffles... doesn't the name just make you want to make a batch just so you can try them out?! I know I sure do! Just the scent of cinnamon in anything is so good when it fills your home with the aroma. It is just one of those super comforting scents that just makes people feel so at home. Especially in the fall! You can always buy your cinnamon rolls at a bakery or at the grocery store, you can even but pre made dough for them in the refrigerated section, but there is something about making them at home, fresh, that is so much better! Now with this recipe, you can make them super quickly in waffle form, which is the perfect way to enjoy 2 favourite desserts that are breakfast foods, all at once! The author of the Creations by Kara food blog, Kara, says that she made these waffles for National Waffle day, and since her kids are waffle fiends, they absolutely loved these cinnamon roll waffles. In her post, she mentions that her kids would be happy with a National Waffle MONTH, that is how much they love waffles.

This recipe is for classic gooey cinnamon rolls in waffle form, sounds amazing doesn't it? Imagine the possibilities... You could even have apple on them with some salted caramel sauce as well, or some nuts on top. Can you imagine how amazing that would be?! Wow! Kara's son made some cinnamon roll waffles at school, which is where she got this idea from in the first place. The ones that were made in his school although, came from the prepackaged Pillsbury type of cinnamon rolls, which are ok, but she says that in their family, they are trying to eat less processed foods, so she made up a recipe from scratch for these cinnamon roll waffles. Of course, if you are in a rush, you can always use the prepackaged mix if you like, but I agree with Kara that home made is more satisfying.

These cinnamon roll waffles are made by simply taking your cinnamon roll dough and cutting it into the smaller pieces as you would to make cinnamon rolls, but instead of just putting them into the oven like that, you will put them into your waffle iron. There is also the icing that you make to drizzle all over these awesome cinnamon roll waffles, and of course, you can put other favourite toppings on as you wish. Cinnamon rolls have been around for a long time, and are a Swedish recipe by origin. They are so simple to make as well, which is why they are so great, they are basically just a bread dough, that is rolled up with a cinnamon sugar spread and then either left as a sticky bun, or topped with cream cheese icing! And this recipe makes it even quicker since the dough is cooked in the waffle iron! Looks SO yummy!
