1. No one likes to eat browned apples unless their baked. Prevent your apples from turning brown with this simple hack. Once you've cut your apple up into pieces, just pour some lemon juice all over the white part of the apple. The acid in the lemon juice will protect the apple's flesh and prevent the oxidation process which is what causes the apple to turn brown. You can also prevent your apple from browning by cutting it with a special apple cutting tool and then putting the apple back together, so none of the flesh is exposed. Keep the pieces together by putting a rubber band around it, which will also stop oxidation from occurring.

2. If you have a craving for sweets, make your own homemade doughnuts. Use Pillsbury frozen biscuits so that there's no need to go to the trouble of making your own dough from scratch. Pour some coconut oil (healthier than vegetable oil because of its high heat tolerance) in the bottom of a large pan and heat it up on your stove. Remove the biscuits from their package and create holes in the center with a bottle cap. Once the oil is heated, place the dough in the oil and fry on either side. Once they're done frying, let them cool a bit and then just toss them in a bag with some powdered sugar to coat them. You can try out different toppings like granulated sugar and cinnamon or even some chocolate icing.

3. If you want a real treat, make some homemade ice cream to go along with your fresh homemade doughnuts. Fill a large container or pot with ice cubes and pour some salt over them. The salt will help reduce the temperature below freezing. Now time to make the ice cream. Pour a 1/3 of a cup of heavy cream or half and half cream into a ziplock bag and add in a tablespoon of sugar and some vanilla. Then seal up that bag and place it into another bag and zip that up too. To make things easiest, put some of the ice into a larger plastic bag and put the cream bag in after it. Then work the ice around the cream with your hands until the cream is hardened.
