Grandmas Sweet Buttermilk Cornbread

Find Your Perfect ONLINE JOB

What I love most about this recipe from 'Wicked Good Kitchen' is how the recipe developed combined the old with the new. In order to find the perfect recipe for this cornbread she has been able to combine the old fashioned instructions from her Grandmother's sweet buttermilk cornbread recipe, with her own natural cornbread recipe. As she so eloquently expresses in her blog, it is not always easy to mix up recipes. I am sure, fellow baker, that you yourself have have tried your hand at healthy ingredient recipe substitutions that have not always turned out quite as expected. It can be disheartening and waste money and time. That is why it is so special to come across a combination recipe like this one that looks so moist, fluffy and scrumptious. It will surely be flagged for my next meal as a must try.

This recipe developer, Stacy, is one who deserves high praise for her tenacity and care in creating the perfect measurements. It is often said (and is true!) that baking is a science. To create her recipes she goes one step further to make sure that the recipe is usable for those using cups and Tablespoons (what a doll!). The kitchen is not a just a place of flour and sugar, but also of calculators and scales. I think her kitchen must look like more of a lab than a kitchen! Combine that with these beautiful cornbread photos and we are drooling all over again over here!
