Cleopatra loved emeralds and was famous for draping herself in them. Emerald green is considered a most calming color. It is said to encourage growth, reflection, peace, and balance. It also represents healing and fertility. Tempered by a cool blue, emerald green represents a steadfast bond, making it a perfect alternative to the traditional diamond engagement ring.

Requested by a customer, Wesley Saxon of Saxon Wood Jewellery, has crafted a beautiful hand carved emerald ring. This spectacular piece can be found on 'Esty' under Saxon Wood Jewels. The band and stone are 100% wood and hand carved. Pretested for strength by the designer and maker himself, Saxon guarantees your happiness with the product or your money back. The band is made from cherry wood, an easy to work with, fine textured, strong and fairly durable wood. It's reddish brown hue is the perfect compliment to the emerald green, making this a stand out piece.

Cherry wood is fine wood with a uniform, straight grain. It has a satiny smooth finish that will make this piece a joy and comfort to wear. The cherry band is 3mm wide and 2mm thick. It is carved from a single piece of wood with no joins, making it sturdy enough for everyday wear. The emerald is made from Rock Maple and measures 4.5mm square.

Finished with a top quality jeweler's epoxy, the finish is crystal clear and very durable. The epoxy finish brings out the cherry woods natural grain and brings out the piece's vibrant colors. You can you choose your size, as well as the color of the wooden gem, should you decide emerald is not for you or your loved one.
