Has Stonehenge been found on Mars? Ancient 'alien' stone circle discovered on Red Planet

Mars explorations have been attempted as far back as 1960 with the Marsnik 1 and 2 which were slotted for a Mars Flyby but experienced launch failure. Since then a lot of headway has been made with Earth's quest to study the Red Planet. We have long suspected that Mars may share certain similarities with Earth. Now with one of the latest discoveries, we're left asking: Has Stonehenge been found on Mars? Ancient 'alien' stone circle discovered on Red Planet.

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in Wiltshire, England. Stonehenge is the remains of a ring of standing stones set within earthworks and is one of the most famous sits in the world. It is in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds. Archaeologists believe Stonehenge was constructed from 3,000 to 2,000 BCE. While the surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument have been dated to around 3,100 BCE, radiocarbon dating suggests that the first (blue) stones weren't raised until 2,400-2,200 BCE (although another theory suggests the bluestones may have been raised at the site as early as 3,000 BCE). Evidence suggests Stonehenge was a burial ground from its earliest beginnings (cremated human remains have been found, and are dated to 3,000 BCE). Unfortunately Stonehenge was produced by a culture who left no written records and many aspects of the site remain subject to debate, with a number of myths surrounding the stones.

Now, UFO and alien hunters are claiming to have made a significant discovery: that of a 'Stonehenge' (or 'Marshenge') on the Red Planet. Alien conspiracists insist, despite any evidence produced by NASA, that Mars once held an ancient civilization that was wiped out by a nuclear war. ET researchers are finding pyramid-like structures, ancient statues and other ruins on the Martian surface that they claim are evidence of another life form having lived there. Scott Waring of UFO Sightings Daily stated This is something remarkable. It's two circles of rocks and one square in its centre and another internet blogger claims It looks eerily similar to what we have located here on Earth in Amesbury, Wiltshire, known as Stonehenge.

One of the questions being asked by alien searchers is whether the builders of Stonehenge could have visited Mars and built a similar structure there, or whether Earth had Martian visitors who taught our inhabitants how to build these structures. While the formation of 'stones' is not an exact replica of Stonehenge, 'Marshenge' does have a very similar set-up.

NASA has its Curiosity Rover droid scouring the Red Planet surface and it has yet to send back details of ruins or evidence of any life forms (let alone intelligent civilizations of extraterrestrial beings) and the US space agency explains that all the discoveries made by alien hunters are merely effects of pareidolia an optical illusion where the brain tricks the eyes into seeing familiar objects. Is this the case, or was there really a sophisticated race of aliens who created a Stonehenge of their very own? More government cover-up, or the truth? You decide.
