Healthy Rainbow Fruit Brownie Pizza
To be honest, fruit pizza is probably my all time favourite dessert. So when I saw this recipe for a Healthy Rainbow Fruit Brownie Pizza, I was really interested to see the brownie crust as a different take on the fruit pizza. I am very interested to see how it tastes. Normally, the crust for the fruit pizza I make, and have been having since I was really young, is a sugar cookie dough crust. Although, I imagine that a brownie crust would taste pretty darn good too, and since I love chocolate, this might be one to try out!
I remember always asking for fruit pizza when I was younger, for my birthday or any special occasion. And it seriously is still my absolute favourite. Maybe because I only have it once a year, so it keeps me liking it and I haven't gotten sick of it yet! There are some different variations on how people make fruit pizzas, my grandmother makes hers with a different crust and with whipped cream as the spread, which I thought was weird when I was a kid, and I still don't really like it that much now. There is just something about the tangy flavour of the cream cheese, with the fruit and the sugar cookie crust that just goes together so well.
Now I am imagining using a kind of chocolate ganache as the spread, with the fruit on top. Mostly strawberries, or even cherries would be amazing! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Fruit is such a great summertime dessert to have, and there really are all different colors of the rainbow when it comes to fruit! Mother nature is so amazing that plants produce such a wide variety of delicious edible treats for us to enjoy and to nourish our bodies as well.
