Window Cleaning Solution with Vinegar

Her windows were filthy after a wind storm. She didn't have any windex but, she made something even better! No one likes having dirty windows, and although they can sometimes be a pain to clean, it must be done in order to enjoy a nice, clear view. Forget about the Windex in this case, and try something totally new and natural. Even the best window cleaners at the store can leave streaks behind if you are not careful. Window cleaning is a process, and using a fancy product isn't going to clean your windows magically on its own because you also have to use good window cleaning techniques when you are cleaning your windows. There are so many window cleaners out there that are filled with chemicals that can also be bad for our health and the environment. Harsh chemicals like ammonia and bleach can be toxic for you and your family to inhale since they can cause damage to the mucus membranes, the lining of your throat, nose and eyes. But making your own window cleaner can prevent all of this from happening, plus, it will be super affordable and you can make more any time you need to.

After a storm, this lady could barely even see through her windows to see the nice view of her yard outside. She went into her cupboard to grab the Windex, but there was none left. She didn't want to have to run to the store, so she remembered a home made recipe for making her own window cleaner. The recipe called only for water and plain, white distilled vinegar which she happened to have on hand. She mixed half portions of vinegar and tap water in equal amounts in a clean, empty spray bottle, and shook it up to mix it well. She used the hottest water her tap would produce for this mixture too, because hot water works the best to clean windows and mirrors. She took her new home made window cleaning solution with vinegar and went to her windows and started to spray them down. When you do this yourself at home, make sure that you use a liberal amount, and cover the whole window with the window cleaner. Once you have covered the window with the window cleaning solution, take a clean cloth and rub the solution all over the window using some force. You will be washing the dirt and grease off of the windows at this point. Then, rinse out your cloth, or get a new, clean cloth if the previous one is too dirty, and spray some more window cleaner on the window. Scrub the window again to get any remaining dirt or grime off of the window. Sometimes this step can be repeated several times until all of the dirt is cleared away.

Once the dirt and grease is cleared away, get another clean cloth and start drying and buffing the window to make it streak free and clear. This step can also take a few tries to get it streak free, but it will be worth it in the long run when you see how clean and clear your windows are and that you did it all with products you already had at home. For extra grimy windows or mirrors, you can add a drop of dish soap to the mixture and that will help to lift any grease that is stuck onto the surface.
