Hot Potato Salad

This one is going to be a lot cheesier than your usual recipe for a potato salad because youíll need about a pound of Velveeta cheese to cook it. You will also need the basics like potatoes, mayonnaise, and some yellow onion. The half-and-half, Spanish olives, and the bacon slices are just among the things that make this dish unique from the usual one.

If youíre in a hurry and you still canít think of what food to add to your party, this salad is perfect because it wonít take a lot of your time and energy to make it. Putting it all together is so easy that you can even teach your kids how to cook it. They will love it, and they will surely have fun learning how to make it with you. Some of the ingredient you will need for this hot potato salad recipe include processed cheese (Velveeta), potatoes, mayonnaise, half and half, and chopping yellow onion. You will also need some chopped yellow onion, some riced pimiento stuffed Spanish olives, some vegetable cooking spray, and some bacon slices.

To start freeze the cheese for approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Cook the potatoes in boiling water for approximately 25 to 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Drain and cool the potatoes completely. Then peel the potatoes and cut into one inch cubes. Grate the frozen cheese. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk the mayonnaise and half and half in a bowl, then stir in the onions, potatoes, and cheese until well blended. Add some salt and pepper. Then spoon into a 9 by 13 inch baking dish that has been coated with cooking spray, then top with bacon pieces. Bake the hot potato salad recipe for approximately 55 minutes. Then increase the oven temperature to broil, and broil for about five minutes or until the bacon is crisp. Let stand for about five minutes.
