How To REALLY Clean A Dishwasher

Find Your Perfect ONLINE JOB

Cleaning the inside of a dishwasher is not an easy thing to do. You are going to need to work on it with your loving hands. Bear in mind to keep the right tools for this cleaning project. Here is what you need to do:

Step 1: Empty the dishwasher.

Step 2: Take out the holders and make sure the spinning holes are clear and open so that water can go over them easily. If there happens to be any particles or dirt in the holes of the spinning arm, remove it by using a toothpick or other small, pointed tool. However, be extra careful when doing this.

Step 3: Dab the bottom of the door and the dishwasher grid with warm, soapy water because in some types of dishwashers, the door stores fragments since water does not spread there so you must wipe it clean.

Step 4: If the type of your dishwasher has a filter, disassemble the part and wash the filter. You might need a hand in this process since it will require a lot of assembling parts.

Step 5: Clean and wipe the door using a cloth that is immersed with vinegar.

Step 6: Clean the utensil frames. You can remove the hard, stuck food on the frames with soapy water and brush it off. Rinse and put them back to the machine afterwards.

Step 7: Run the dishwasher with vinegar. This is to help thoroughly clean the water deposits and help clean unreachable areas. Run the dishwasher in Low or Energy-Saving cycle for around 20 minutes.

Step 8: One you are done cleaning the interior, clean the exterior of the dishwasher. And dry it with a clean cloth. Do not forget to repeat the process every once in a month or as necessary.
