How to Remove Burnt Sugar From a Pot

Find Your Perfect ONLINE JOB

Cleaning our pots and pans can be a hard job just as it is, but it can be even harder when there is burnt food on them. Food can burn onto pans for a few different reasons. One is that you might forget the food is cooking and it really burns to the pan, or sometimes you maybe didn't add enough oil to the pan before cooking your food. There are foods like sugar and candies that can burn in the pan really easily and so it's important to keep your eye on them at all times. But it's easy enough to make the mistake of sugar burning in a pan. Sugar will be either brown or black, and it will become really hard, which can leave bad dark stains in your pots or pans. Washing them afterwards in the dishwasher won't remove the burned sugar and might even make it harder to remove it. To remedy the burned on sugar, make sure you treat them quickly to avoid further staining. This tutorial from Hunker will teach you how to clean pots and pans with sugar burned on them, and it will also teach you how to clean pots and pans naturally. You don't need any harsh chemicals for this cleaning tip, and it also doesn't take a lot of time or effort either.

All you'll need for this cleaning tips is some white distilled vinegar, or, if you can get your hands on some cleaning vinegar, that will work even better. Then, you'll also need some dish soap, baking soda and a scrubbing pad. First, fill up the pot halfway with white vinegar, then place it on your stove and bring the vinegar and water to a boil. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes, but turn down the heat a bit if it starts boiling over. You may want to run your exhaust fan above your stove while you do this because the vinegar can be pretty potent. Once it's boiled for at least 5 minutes, pour out the vinegar water and then put the pot into some hot water with dish soap in it. Next, you're going to sprinkle some baking soda on a scrubbing pad and scrub the bottom of the pan. You'll probably notice some black flakes floating in the water which is a good thing, that means that the sugar stains are coming off. Keep on scrubbing until you see that the bottom of your pan is cleaner once again. Then, just simply rinse the pot with hot water and dry it out completely.

If you have some burnt food in your stove drip pans, this cleaning tips will also work, just put them into a large stock pot with the vinegar and boil them in the water on your stove for several minutes. Then, place them into the hot soapy water and scrub them with the scrubbing pad. For burnt on food inside your oven, you can use some baking soda and water to make a paste and then spread that paste all over the inside of your oven. Spray it with some plain vinegar and allow that to sit overnight to work its magic. When you return the next morning, spray with some more vinegar to wet the powder again and start scrubbing. The burned on food should come off fairly easily, and you can just pull it out of your oven with a rag or cloth. Then wipe down the entire inside to rinse out the natural cleaners and dry with a clean cloth. Hopefully, these cleaning tips help you out, and if they do, share them with other people too.***
