Before we talk about the recipe for this particular cupcake, we thought we'd first share with you some interesting facts about this sweet little treats. The cupcake recipe originated in the United States and according to history, the first time that it was mentioned in a recipe book was back in 1796. But the term "cupcake" was not documented until 1828 when Eliza Leslie published her book Seventy-five Receipts for Pastry, Cakes and Sweetmeats". Cupcakes have come a long way since it was recorded and now they are incredibly easy to find a recipe for, especially now since the Internet exists. You can find so many different cupcake recipes out there. The cupcake has expanded beyond the white cake with the pink or white icing and little candy sprinkles. Now, you can find cupcake recipes for S'mores cupcakes, Reece's Pieces cupcakes, Red Velvet cupcakes, Lemon cake cupcakes, and so many more. Lisa wanted to create her own special cupcake recipe to share on her blog, so she came up with this fabulous Strawberry Cupcake recipe all on her own which is pretty awesome.

Feel free to bring out the culinary artist in you whenever you bake cupcakes, because you can customize them however you want. You can think of any ingredient to add and bake them into cupcakes. But today, let's focus on using strawberries and cheesecake. Knowing these are the ingredients involved, you can assume that you'll experience the blending of sweet and sour taste in every bite you'll take. So get ready and preheat your oven to 350 degrees, while you prepare the ingredients and go through the process of mixing them. It's best if you have a mixer because it will make the texture of your mixture consistent. All you need to make the cake part of this cupcake is strawberry cake mix, yogurt, oil, water and a couple of eggs. The filling is basically just a simple mixture of cream cheese, yogurt and sugar. The frosting is another cream cheese mixture with strawberries and sugar in it, to keep that cheese cake flavour happening. These cupcakes are lovely and pink with a nice white frosting on top and when you bite into the centre there is that nice cream cheese centre! Lisa even added some pink sprinkles on top of the cake for some more pink! These would be wonderful for a kid's birthday party or a baby shower, maybe even for Easter. But who needs an excuse to eat cupcakes really? These would be great anytime of year. Perhaps for a fund raiser or a bake sale. One thing is for sure, you will not be disappointed with this cupcake recipe so make sure that you give it a try out and save the link to the Flour Me With Love food blog so you can try out some more great recipes!
