You can also make apple juice and candy apples. Candy apples are a very traditional dessert. If you want to learn how to make candy apples then this article is good for you.

The things that you need are six apples (preferably small apples), 1/2 dozen of skewers, a pot, pastry brush, bowl for water and for topping, a candy thermometer, baking sheet, 1/2 cup of light corn syrup, 2 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of water, toppings like toffee, chocolate chips, jelly bears and candy corn and food coloring of your choice but it is optional. Prepare everything beforehand so it is easy when you start making your all - time favorite candy apples.

When you are ready, begin with the first step which is to make sure that your toppings are shredded into small bits. It will help them to stick to the apples nicely.

Get your apples and spear through the center and set aside. Prepare your syrup. Dissolve the sugar on a medium - high heat but if you are using brown sugar then reduce heat to medium - low. After that, place the pot in a cold water bath so the sugar will stop cooking further.

Dip your apples completely into the sugar coating while holding the stick. If you are using toppings, dip the apples to the syrup first and then to the candy of your choice. Then put the finished apples on the baking sheet.

When done, place the candy apples into the fridge. Wait for a while then enjoy your dessert.

Enjoy eating!
