One of the most important ingredients to making this amazing dish, is the one that provides the crunch. Panko bread crumbs. Panko is the perfect crunch to compliment the other ingredients, especially the jalapenos! In order to make this recipe , you will mix a few simple ingredients together in order to make a batter. After you have mixed the batter together, that is what you will use to baste your chicken breasts. This recipe is said to use the oven, although if you are making this in the summer for a family event or gathering, throwing these on the barbecue would also be awesome! Cooking them on the barbecue will give them a smoky summery taste, which is bound to be wonderful. Either way, this recipe is sure to be one that will have your family asking you the secret. You may find the use of a toothpick handy for holding the jalapenos inside of the chicken pocket.

Some of the ingredients you will use for this Jalapeo Popper chicken recipe include the panko bread crumbs, vegetable oil, some taco seasoning (the recipe for this is on the site), egg, cream cheese and some shredded cheddar cheese. You will also need some jalapeo peppers with the seeds and ribs removed and some chicken breasts. To start preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and spray a glass baking dish with some non stick cooking spray or grease and put aside. In a small pan combine the panko crumbs and oil over medium heat. Cook the crumbs while stirring often, until they are a nice golden brown and crispy. Then place the mixture in a shallow dish or bowl. Add the taco seasoning to the cooked panic crumbs and stir to combine the two. Then in another shallow dish, beat an egg, and in another bowl combine the cream cheese, japapeno and shredded cheddar cheese.

Use a small knife to cut a pocket on the side of each piece of boneless chicken breast, then season the chicken with some salt and pepper and put the cream cheese mixture into each of the chicken breast pockets. You can use a toothpick to secure the chicken breast if needed. Next you can dip each of the chicken breasts into the egg mixture and then coat afterwards with the panic mixture, coating the chicken recipe entirely. Then put the chicken into the prepared dish and cook for approximately 25 to 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked throughly.
