Sink your teeth into a delicious Layered Doritos Casserole recipe! Okay now this sounds like the perfect meal that the kids are going to eat. It has simple ingredients, only takes a few minutes to assemble, and can be baking while the table gets set, perfect! If you have a craving for salty savoury food, this casserole recipe is going to fit the bill. The recipe calls for Doritos as it says in the title. For those of you that are Dorito fans, you will love the recipe as it is. Personally, when I make it I prefer to use a product that has fewer artificial ingredients and coloring. Beanitos work as a great substitute and are made with natural ingredients instead of all of the chemicals that can be found in Doritos brand chips.

There is more and more being discovered about what manufacturers are putting into processed foods. Even ten years ago, healthy versions of snack foods, taco and potato chips were pretty hard to find. It is from lack of awareness that people are still eating things, and they don't know what they are putting into their bodies. A very simple method of determining products to consume is to become an avid label reader. If you read the ingredients and you do now know what they are, changes are they are not something to consume on a regular basis. Ingredients are listed in order of greatest to the smallest amount of the product in the item. When it comes to corn products, that is where you need to be especially mindful as it has come to light in the past couple of years that corn is being genetically modified, and that is not good. If you want to make these fantastic recipes, and you have concerns about some of the products that are part of the ingredients, you can always find substitutes for brand names in the health food section of your grocery stores.

All that is needed to make this delicious recipe is a big bag of Doritos chips, or Doritos style chips, onion, beef, taco seasoning, salsa, sour cream, creamy chicken or creamy mushroom soup, cheese, and all of your favourite toppings like lettuce, tomato, olives and more sour cream. You basically just layer the ingredients in a baking dish after the meat has been cooked, and then cook it in your oven until the cheese is nice and melted. You top the casserole with the fresh lettuce, tomato and sour cream after it comes out of the oven so they don't get all soggy. What you are left with is a fabulous meal that everyone in the family will absolutely love. This would be an awesome recipe for great leftovers as well, if there is anything left of the casserole that is!
