Unidentified flying objects (UFO's) and alien life are topics that have been hotly debated over the years. Dating back to 214 BCE Livy records that an appearance of ships had shone forth from the sky. But perhaps one of the most popular sightings was that of the Roswell UFO crash, which is said to have occurred just 30 miles north of Roswell, New Mexico, and spurred serious speculation about a secret government facility known only as Area 51. Now, a Lockheed Martin Scientist Says There Really Are Aliens and UFOs at Area 51.

Area 51 is a United States Air Force facility within the Nevada Test and Training Range. According to the CIA, the correct names for the facility are Groom Lake and Homey Airport, though the CIA used the name Area 51 in a document dating from the Vietnam War. Use of the airspace around the base is referred to as a Restricted Area. Furthering speculation, the base's current purpose is not known to the public however historical evidence supports experimental development and testing of experimental aircraft and weapons systems. It is this intense secrecy that has made the base the frequent subject of conspiracy theories about UFO's and alien folklore.

Enter, Boyd Bushman. An engineer who worked as a senior scientist for Lockheed Martin, Bushman claims to have insider knowledge proving the validity of the theories regarding aliens and alien spacecraft within Area 51. Before his death, Bushman furnished pictures and a polygraph test supposedly proving the existence of alien life in Area 51. The only problem is that none of his evidence can be proven (or if it can, no one is stepping forward). Throughout his illustrious retirement years, Bushman provided a series of interviews on the topic (it is presumed for the consulting fees provided). Though he may seem like a whistleblower, Bushman often remained vague and somewhat in-congruent with his testimony. According to the polygraph results (which he personally shared), it is true that Bushman worked for Strategic Defense Initiative, it is true he worked at Are 51 as a research scientist, and it is true that alien life forms exist. Also according to his polygraph results, Bushman was threatened with death for discussing Area 51. He passed away on August 7th, 2014 and, unfortunately, any information he may have had which would shed light on any of the topics he was so passionate about went with him.

The amount of information provided by the US government has been minimal, which is understandable since Area 51 is a government facility within a test and training range. Declassified documents are routinely redacted. Conspiracy theories relating to the reverse engineering of alien aircraft and the development of exotic energy weapons are always denied. So, the big question remains: was Boyd Bushman telling the truth? Does alien life and technology actually exist and, if it does, does it exist within the boundaries of Area 51?
