Oreo Cheesecake Chocolate Cake

Oreo Cheesecake Chocolate Cake will definitely satisfy any sweet-tooth or chocolate craving! And with a nice tall glass of cold milk - what a way to take the classic to something absolutely decadent, rich, and almost sinfully good! Mmmm.... Oreos have to be one of America's favourite cookies. They have also been around for more than 100 years!

Have you ever just all of a sudden started craving Oreo cookies? I don't know what it was but last weekend I just wanted to find Oreos and eat an entire bag! Okay, perhaps that's a little bit of an over exaggeration, but you know what I mean!! I just wanted to bite into one of those chocolate wafer sandwiched cookies with that super sweet vanilla icing. Mmm... so good, right?! So what did I do? I jumped into my car and zoomed over to the grocery store and grabbed a bag. T he funny thing is, by the time I was home, I completely had lost interest - goes to show how funny we can be about food sometimes - but I did't want my purchase to go to waste so I found an alternative. And was it ever so delicious...and even more decadent. Oreo Cheesecake Chocolate Cake! Oh my goodness, wow!! Rich, chocolatey, smooth, and very very very good! My husband and kids of course loved it too! I mean, who wouldn't absolutely fall in love with a cake as decadent as this one?! You would have to be crazy to not love a cake with this much chocolatey goodness in it.

I love cooking and baking especially when I happen to have these types of random cravings or bursts of 'creativity'. I also love being in the kitchen when I'm stressed. I don't know what it is, but for me, cooking is very soothing and meditative. Its an art really! And so, I think its a great way to pool one's energy (especially if that energy is bouncing around all over the place) and allow it to be expressed in some form of culinary representation - lets just hope whatever is the end product...well, tastes good right?! Anyway, when it comes to me and cooking, that's the way I see it!

So getting back to my Oreo creation... I ended up making this dessert and it not only proved to be super delicious - wow! - but it was really a great way to take America's number one favourite cookie - Hey, did you know that - and elevate it into a dessert that you can confidently bring to any dinner party or if you're like me, surprise and spoil your family with after a regular week day meal. Either way its a win situation and definitely a delicious one! This cake would be absolutely wonderful for even a birthday party or a baby shower. Maybe even for Valentines day!
