Plastic patio chairs are great to have out in the yard or on your deck. They're affordable, durable and functional but they can look pretty bad when they're dirty. But since they're outside all the time, they're prone to all of the rain, mud and dust that Mother Nature provides so it's no surprise when they get a bit dirty. There are, however some simple cleaning tips you can try out to clean these plastic chairs and rid them of all the stuck on dirt. This is one of the simple life hacks to use on your chairs to clean them each year so that you can keep them looking nice and clean all summer long. All you do is get some regular bleach, any kind you have on hand will do. Put the bleach in a spray bottle and spray it evenly all over the chairs. You want to make sure that you get good coverage because the bleach will whiten anything it touches so you want it to whiten the entire chair, even underneath. Then leave the chairs covered in bleach in the sun to lighten. You can then rinse off the bleach with your hose and you'll have cleaner whiter chairs.

Even though natural cleaners are preferable especially since you'll be using it outdoors, bleach seems to do the trick when it comes to cleaning the stains off of white plastic chairs. You can also experiment and make your own natural cleaner to try out and see how it works. Try putting some cleaning vinegar which has a higher acidity than regular vinegarspray in a bottle and then spray it all over your chairs. Leave it to sit out in the sun for a while and see if there is any improvement. You could also try to use some baking soda and lemon juice. Lemon juice is known for it's bleaching properties and it might just get those stains out of the chairs like the bleach does. Just take some baking soda and lemon juice and make a paste out of the two ingredients and then cover the entire chair in it using a rage to evenly distribute it. Leave it sit for a while in the sun, a few hours should be good, that way the sun has a chance to work with the lemon juice to brighten the color of the chairs.

Once you've let the paste sit for a while in the sun, you can start scrubbing with a scrubby pad. Be sure not to use a scrubbing pad that's too abrasive otherwise you might risk scratching the chairs which would make them look even worse. Then, you can spray them off with the water from your hose and see how they look. These natural cleaners and simple life hacks may not work as good as the bleach does, but it would be worth the try to see if there is a natural alternative for this cleaning tip. If you have upholstered furniture outside on your patio there's also an easy way to clean that up to make it look like new. You can use some dish soap with some water in a spray bottle to spray all over the upholstery then let it sit to loosen the dirt and stains. Then, you can use a brush or a cloth to scrub the spots and the cushion until you get a good lather. Then, rinse the cushions off with a pressure washer or a high pressure hose attachment. Let them sit out in the sun to dry out and they'll look better than ever.***
