Find Your Perfect ONLINE JOB

Today's recipe came from a person who mixes his love for cooking and comedy. We are talking about comedian Tom Rhiel and his amazing Spicy Honey Chicken Thighs. He is not just a comedian, but he is also a chef who has been passionate about food and the kitchen since he could even remember. He used to host a talk show called Funniest Food On TV via The Food Network channel and now he shares his recipes on his website Rhiel Food. He is one talented man, which makes his works worth sharing.

Tom is a fun guy to have in the kitchen. His site mixes his humor with his cooking skills, and he has discovered a way to make everyone's cooking experience a fun one. He is a self proclaimed non graduate of any cooking school, but he believes that anyone can be a great cook if they just want to learn. He spent the beginning of his adult life at east coast dinner houses before he made his way to sunny California when he was nineteen. It wasn't long before he would become District Coordinator for a national restaurant franchise where he worked for the next fourteen years. He says that when he started working in restaurants, cooking was something that was looked down upon. That was before the Food Network made cooking cool.

Going back to this recipe that he created, we must say that it's the perfect party dish, especially if you're planning to hang out with your friends for some BBQ. You will be broiling the chicken, so better preheat the broiler while you prepare for the ingredients. The secret for this chicken to come out tasty is the right mixing of the spices that forms the sauce. If done properly, you will notice that the sauce looks a bit sticky because it was caramelized. You'll be able to experience the perfect blend of sweetness coming from the honey and the spiciness that is brought by the chili powder. You can also use some wild chili as an alternative if you want to keep it organic.

The ingredients play more with spices, and you can even add more to it if you want, so you could recreate it in your own style. It uses garlic powder too, but you can always use the natural one if you're not into the powdered version. Either way, both could work just as good. This recipe is meant for eight servings. You will have fun brushing the chicken with the honey mixture once you're done preparing it.

So once you preheat your broiler, you can combine the first six ingredients of the chicken recipe. Then add the chicken to a bowl, and toss to coat. Next you can place the chicken on a broiler pan that has been coated with some cooking spray. Then you can broil the chicken for approximately five minutes on each side. Next, combine the honey and vinegar in a small bowl, stirring well. Remove the chicken from the oven, and brush it with some of the honey mixture on the chicken. Broil for approximately one minute. Then remove the chicken from the oven and turn it over. Then brush the chicken with the rest of the honey mixture and broil for a little longer until the chicken is done to perfection.
