Add on some cut chunks of fruit, and drizzle with some sort of homemade chocolate or vanilla sauce of choice and you have a delicious and ingenious dessert on the go! The girl who made this recipe, from Sugar Apron food blog, even suggested to coordinate the colours of the kebabs you choose with the theme of your party to go that extra mile. I have done sliced fruit like strawberries, pineapple, banana, kiwi and grapes to make kind of a fruit rainbow kabob. Then, I made my own healthy chocolate sauce out of raw cacao powder, and honey, and drizzled it over top of the made kabobs. It looked so pretty and they tasted amazing! People at the BBQ absolutely loved them, and everyone appreciated having a healthier sweet treat too.

These Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs, would be awesome for a kid's birthday party as well. The kids could even put them together or help you put them together to lend a helping hand.
