So you've decided that you want to have a Greenhouse and the inadequate space of your backyard is the only hindrance. This small greenhouse may just be the answer. What's unique in it? It is a greenhouse on a tabletop! However, there are certain things that you have to remember when building your small greenhouse, and with that, you also need to know what is greenhouse and why people build it. A Greenhouse is a place that protects and nurtures your plants. It is like putting your plants away from the other harmful elements of the world; separating them. Glass or plastic is used as a roof and wall to cover your plants. They protect the plants from pests, unstable weather conditions, and nutrients competition. Yes, plants compete too. According to Cheryl Koonce, greenhouses are built to control. Just like plants outside of it, greenhouse plants also need the four elements of Earth: heat, water, light, and air. These are the four basic factors of plant growth. Of course, you will have to know what plants you want to grow inside the greenhouse and identify its needs when the season changes. Plants are diverse, and they have diverse needs too. In putting up a greenhouse, choose the right location. You have to do a little research about the place if it is humid and with enough sunlight. Morning sun and afternoon shade makes for a pretty ideal location as the plants will get the sun they need for the first 6 hours or so in the day, then get shaded when the high afternoon heat hits. Make a sketch, and then plot where you will place your plants in it. You also have to make sure if your greenhouse's foundation is strong enough to withhold strong winds and storms. For your tabletop greenhouse, make sure you do several tests to check its strength. For the floor, make sure it has drainage. You don't want a pool instead of a greenhouse, do you? For your tools and supplies, make a room in your greenhouse for it. This will be most convenient for you; it will be easier to get them and will help you organize. Once you keep this at the back of your mind while creating your tabletop greenhouse, you can now install it! Enjoy your new tabletop greenhouse!
