To start preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and line a 9-inch by 13-inch pan with some nonstick aluminum foil. Then stir the sugar, butter and water in large bowl. Then stir in the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Then spread evenly into the pan. Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Then let cool completely, and cut into small bite sized squares for the trifle.
