Find Your Perfect ONLINE JOB

We all want our groceries to last longer, so we can save money. Buying in bulk is more economical. When you buy in bulk, it is hard to keep everything from going bad. The good news is that there are so many ways you can preserve grocery items without having to spend so much on the materials to do it. You just have to be resourceful, for the most part. Here are a few life hacks on how to preserve your food the easiest and cheapest way.

1.Pantyhose: If you have some pantyhose at home that you no longer use, you can store your onions in them. You can even hang the onions and if you live in a more rustic type of home, this could be part of your wall art.

2.Plastic Bottles: Re-use that empty plastic bottles of mineral water to store green onions. Make it a point that they are completely dry before storing them in it and inside the freezer. This will avoid them getting freezer burn.

3.Small Plastic Bags: This method applies for your favorite fresh herbs. Place a bunch of herbs into a plastic bag, secure them well with a rubber band, and then place them inside your refrigerator. Parsley, basil, and cilantro are among the herbs that you could preserve using this style.

4.Vinegar Solution: Get some apple cider vinegar and mix it with water. Make sure that this solution is one part vinegar to ten parts water. This method applies in preserving berries. All you have to do is place the berries in it, drain and rinse them afterward. Once all the berries are drained from it; pat the berries dry then you can place them in the refrigerator. This way, the berries could still be used for more than a week.
