Although man people just seem to enjoy it plain. Traditionally, the mac and cheese is a casserole type of food that is oven baked. But these days, you can simply use a saucepan to cook it with some premixed ingredients in a pack. It is definitely one of the most popular comfort foods in the United States.
Going back to this recipe the ingredients include elbow macaroni, cheddar cheese, evaporated milk, sugar, a couple of eggs, salt, black and cayenne pepper. Make sure that the macaroni is cooked and drained well before adding all the other ingredients. You will need a mixing bowl, a whisk and a saucepan to pull this recipe off. In a bowl, mix cooked and well drained macaroni and cheese together and in another bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar and seasoning.Pour the egg/milk mixture over mac and cheese mixture, stir until well incorporated. Then pour into a baking dish or tin, and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour. Remove the aluminum foil and turn on the broiler, and broil the top of the mac and cheese until golden brown and bubbly.
