Avocado's are a popular fruit used in a variety of recipes in many countries, it's vibrant green color and large seed made it easily recognizable. When I saw "The Absolute Best Way to Cut and Pit an Avocado," I just had to take a look and compare it to the way I've been cutting avocados for years.

The webpage has a great little video that gave complete instructions for cutting and pitting an avocado. The method used in the video uses a lengthwise cut in half, followed by another lengthwise cut in half at a ninety degree angle to the first cut. Next the pit is removed, and the skin is peeled away from the fruit, leaving four pieces to cut further if needed.
