The webpage has a great little video that gave complete instructions for cutting and pitting an avocado. The method used in the video uses a lengthwise cut in half, followed by another lengthwise cut in half at a ninety degree angle to the first cut. Next the pit is removed, and the skin is peeled away from the fruit, leaving four pieces to cut further if needed. The avocado tree is native to Mexico and Central America, avocados are rich in B vitamins, vitamin K, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and potassium. Avocados are great on toast, in salads, smoothies, guacamole, salsa and as a garnish.

We all know that cutting avocados can be a little scary, my kids always want to try it themselves, but I'am always extra careful. You may have seen chefs on television make it all look so effortless, but you have to be careful as a good number of kitchen injuries can come from people cutting a grid into the avocado while holding the skin in their hand. So thanks to this step by step video tutorial, you don't have to worry about pitting avocados any longer, and this method is safe for the kids, so they can safely try it to, it's also good for them to help out in the kitchen, it's fun and it gives them a sense of accomplishment.
