You will need some russet potatoes that are scrubbed and diced; some diced boneless chicken breasts, some shredded cheddar cheese (because everything tastes better with some cheese), some cooked crisp and crumbled bacon, heavy cream, some unsalted butter and some seasoning.

When you know you have all the ingredients that you need for this potato casserole recipe, and you've prepared them, you can go ahead and preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next you can grease a nine inch by nine-inch baking pan or casserole dish, or spray with some nonstick cooking spray. To start this casserole recipe, you will want to spread out approximately half of the diced potatoes in the bottom of the pan or casserole dish, whichever you are using. Then place the diced up boneless chicken breasts over top the diced potatoes evenly. Then you can season the chicken some salt and pepper to taste. Now for the part that everyone loves the sprinkling of the bacon, the shredded cheese and about half of the green onions. From here you can spread the rest of the diced up potatoes over top, and the rest of the bacon, cheese and onions. You can pour the heavy cream on top of the casserole recipe, and pat with some butter for extra flavor. Now cover the casserole recipe with some aluminum foil and bake the casserole for approximately one hour. Then after an hour of baking, uncover the casserole and bake for approximately another 30 minutes. For the last bit of baking, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the top and bake some more until it melts to a nice golden brown. Enjoy!
