Meet The Geonosis Jedi

One of the most revered scenes of the Star Wars franchise is the incredibly epic battle in the finale of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones between the Jedi led by Mace Windu and the Separatist forces led by Count Dooku. In this scene Count Dooku springs his trap for the Jedi who responded to Obi-wan's distress signal and came to rescue him only to be quickly surrounded and overwhelmed by Dooku's army of battle droids. The symbolism of the scene is incredible yet tragic, showing how the best and bravest warriors in the galaxy were forced to sacrifice themselves like the pawns on Dooku and Darth Sidious' chessboard. There is a very emotional and tragic feeling you get as you see the Jedi fight while hopelessly outmatched. Sadly, with the imminent rise of Darth Vader, the Jedi would never have the chance to make a come back, but would instead continue to fade. In the end, though, it was an essential scene leading into the rest of the incredible saga following the near extinction of the Jedi. Without it the subsequent films wouldn't exist.

One of my personal favourite things about Star Wars is its ability to still remain fresh even after repeated viewings due to the huge amount of details and mysterious unknowns throughout each movie. Watched over and over again by Star Wars fans (myself included), each new viewing of this iconic Geonosis scene reveals yet another detail that was missed earlier. For one thing, we are never told the identities of the Jedi in this battle, those unwavering defenders of truth and justice in the galaxy who lay down their lives to save their comrades. Aside from a few we knew from before, such as Mace Windu, Obi-wan Kenobi and young Anakin Skywalker, the rest of the Jedi in the epic battle remained shrouded in mystery, until now.

Now, for the first time, you can meet all the Jedi who appeared in the Battle of Geonosis yourself and learn each Jedi's name and role in the Star Wars universe!
