Try out this fabulous Cheese Stuffed Meatballs Recipe - In the Slow Cooker or the Oven... both easy... both AWESOME! The only thing is if you don't have a slow cooker, you might be feeling like you are missing out on all of these different slow cooker recipes. But have no disappointment, because these slow cooker meatballs can also be cooked up in the oven and be just as great. There is a whole world of recipes out there for slow cooker or crockpot recipes that can be made in the oven also and not limited to the slow cooker. And even though the slow cooker is a great invention, not everyone has the extra money to get one or maybe the extra space to store one in their kitchen. Also, usually making food in a slow cooker is a pretty slow process, so if you just don't have the time to spare, then cooking them in the oven is a much faster process.

This meatball recipe comes from Le Creme de la Crumb food blog written and curated by Tiffany, who is self-taught in cooking and in photography. Tiffany found herself always putting her own little spin on different recipes she would come across over the years and so she started a blog in 2013 as a way to categorize her individual approach to making these recipes. Tiffany totally found herself enthralled with writing and photographing different recipes she was trying and so sharing her recipes and photos became a second nature to her and before she knew it; she was doing it regularly. Her philosophy is that good recipes don't have to take a lot of time or expensive ingredients to be great, so she likes to keep things as simple as possible.

That is definitely what this cheese stuffed meatball recipe is all about, simple and tasty. Meatballs are great just on their own, let alone with cheese stuffed into them! The juicy meatball has a nice gooey, mozzarella centre inside, just waiting to explode with the first bite. The outside just looks like a plain old Italian meatball, but it is hiding a wonderful secret inside it. So anyone who tries these out when you serve them will get a nice surprise when they eat them if you haven't told them about what is inside yet. To make these heavenly little bites, all you need is some ground meat, turkey, chicken, or beef, some panko bread crumbs, your seasonings like garlic and Italian spices and herbs, and your mozzarella cheese. Tiffany uses string cheese mozzarella sticks, but you can also use a better quality mozzarella and just cut it up into cubes to place inside the meatballs.

The trick is to freeze the cheese before adding it to the meatballs. So you mix up your meat while they are freezing and then make balls out of the meat mixture and poke the cheese cube into the meatball. They then get put into the slow cooker for three to four hours to cook all the way through. Or in a 400-degree oven for only 15 to 20 minutes, which is much quicker indeed! Then you arrange them nicely on a plate with some parsley garnish, and a little bowl of marinara sauce, or perhaps some Alfredo sauce, and dip away to enjoy! These would be awesome for a party or as an appetizer. They would also be fabulous on a sandwich as a meatball sub!
