Baking soda is maybe $2 for a smaller box and $5 for a larger box, and salt is maybe around the same price, depending on the kind you buy. For this concoction, you do need coarse salt, as they specify. You then just make a paste with the 2 ingredients and some water and put the paste onto the crusted on gunk in your oven, and let it sit. Then you do have to do some work, by scrubbing away at the sides and bottom of the oven.
