She Cuts Lace In Half. The End Result? I NEED To Make A Pair Of These!

Find Your Perfect ONLINE JOB

If you have always liked to make your own clothing, you'll be excited about this new diy project from Little Things. In the video, all she does is she cuts lace in half, and the end result will have you wanting to make a pair or two of your own. The great thing about this diy is that it's really easy to make, probably easier than you would have imagined. You may think that making underwear would be hard, but it's actually really not hard at all. You don't even need too much fabric to make them either and what you end up with is so cute, especially because they're lace. You could use any elasticized material you like, but lace looks really cute and feminine. You could also use cotton materials with a bit of stretch in them, or a bamboo or hemp material if you want to be super eco-friendly. You can find the lace material for this project at any crafting store, or, you can also order it online through Etsy or Amazon. Make sure you get elasticized lace otherwise the undies will end up being too tight, and you won't be able to wear them.

All you do is get one piece of lace, cut to the measurements of your hips. In the video, she shows us exactly how to measure our hips so that the undies will be the perfect size. Remember, they stretch too, so don't be worried if they look a bit small. Then, you cut this long piece of lace in half, put the two pieces together, and cut out a curved shape through both of the pieces of lace. These pieces are then sewed together to make the majority of the underwear. All of this is on the video with precise measurements and directions, so you will understand exactly what to do. You then make a gusset, which is the re-enforced piece in the center of the panties, and attach it to the larger piece of lace. That's all you have to do to make your own, pretty lacy underwear. You can make them in any colour of elasticized lace you can find and make a bunch of them for way less than it costs to purchase new ones. Depending on the quality of lace material you purchase, your underwear can last you at least a year or two if not more. It would be a good idea to hand wash, and air dry these underwear for the highest care to maintain their quality. Or, you can wash them on a short gentle cycle in your washing machine and air dry them.

Women's underwear date back to 4,400 B.C and all of these panties were diy. The underwear back in ancient times was just a simple cloth triangle with strings to attach them to the hips. Over the centuries, underwear has evolved into different styles and shapes, like the thong, g-string, classic brief, high cut, control, hipster, bikini, and boy shorts which are most like what these diy underwear resemble. This is just one of the many fun diy projects you can find on Little Things. They share tons of do it yourself crafts and diy ideas with us that are so inspiring and quite easy to make as well. You can also find diy ideas on YouTube, with hundreds of accounts sharing fun diy projects for us to make ourselves. Doing things yourself can be very rewarding since it provides you with a feeling of self-sustainability, and it allows you to express your creativity, expressing your own style and individuality.***
