Potato Power: The Spuds That Could Light the World

When we look around us, we see ordinary things. Take for example: we go to a grocery store and head right to the vegetable section, look at them thinking that their sole purpose in the world is to provide us energy, vitamins and minerals for our daily life. Nothing else. But one question: for once, have you ever looked at something so mundane and think about how this thing could light up the world? Like literally. And I'm still talking about the vegetable section in the grocery store. You pause and think for awhile. Then you see a potato. Ladies and gentlemen, a potato. Imagine a potato giving light in times of energy crisis.

I know what you are thinking. A potato as a source of light? Well, yes. It sounds weird, right? But this is proven to be true for a long time ago already! It has been used in many experiments in school. Potato is one of the most nutritious and delicious vegetables. It is one of the sources of carbohydrates, an energy supplier. Who would think that this odd-looking but beloved by the internet vegetable would save the world from darkness? You smile when you think about it, right? You feel so happy for our potatoes. Yes, that is what I am feeling right now. Personally, when I look at potatoes, I don't see food. I see the world's salvation. I'm exaggerating, I know. But think about this: when the world runs out of energy to give light, what other easy and inexpensive alternatives can you think of? Well, if I see a potato, all other alternatives are out of the list.

So now, what is the whole point? Sometimes, in life, we under appreciate people and things. We look past their ability to shine and rule. Well, in this case, potatoes have truly found their own way in the world. If potatoes could talk, they would say: Never underestimate the power of potatoes!
